baisago college showcase

Pro Performance Sport hosted its first Botswana Coaching Showcase this week at Baisago College in Gaborone. The coaching showcase allowed talented young players to demonstrate their abilities to highly respected international coach Stu Robertson who was scouting players for overseas placements.

PPS Director Samuel Ramosoeu was quoted as saying “Today is a fantastic opportunity for these young players to experience professional level coaching for the very first time. It will allow them to show what they are made of, and also see first hand the level that is required to make it overseas”

Thuso Motswaledi President of Baisago College in Gaborone, Botswana was excited to host the showcase coaching sessions at the College and said “This is the beginning of something great, it will provide opportunities for these young players that they never dreamed were possible”.

Coach Robertson identified two players in particular from the coaching session as standout performers. Tendai Kesekile (pictured above left) and Teshepo Mookolare (pictured above right) made an instant impression with their technical and tactical qualities, as well as a willingness to learn.

Coach Robertson said of the two players “Talent is a beautiful thing, but talent without hard work and a willingness to learn is wasted, it was great to see both Tendai and Tesheopo embrace the coaching methodology and quickly lift to the standard expected”

Following the success of the coaching showcase, Pro Performance Sport will begin preparations for the first players from the group to take up overseas opportunities as they begin the pathway to professional football.
